Request a Search for Document
Requesting a Records Search by Mail
You can view the Historical Document Indexes to find any document recorded between 1906 and 1971. If you find the document, include the year, book, and page in your Document Search Request.
If you wish the Recording Division conduct a search of the official public records, complete the following steps:
- Fill out the Search Request Form
- Include a check for the fee. We are unable to process your search request or make copies until the fee is received.
Copies of all records, including marriage records, can be obtained via mail or in-person at the Benton County Auditor's Office.

For most search types, please submit a check for a "not to exceed" amount. We are unable to determine the exact amount due before the search is completed as copy fees are based on the page count of the documents found. Please refer to the fee schedule for a complete list of search and copy fees.
