Local General Rule 1

- All references herein to “policy,” “process(es)” or “procedure” can be found on the relevant subpage of the Website.
- The Court’s Website is searchable. Use the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the Website to search by keyword for any subpage or document referenced herein if needed.
- Any person needing access to the Website or eMotion can use the free public computer terminal in the lobby of the Benton County Justice Center, 7122 West Okanogan Place, Bldg. A, Kennewick, WA, or outside the Superior Court Clerk’s office in the Franklin County Courthouse, 1016 North 4th Street, Pasco, WA, during courthouse hours.

All requests will go through the Clerk’s office. Superior Court Administration manages the FTR Realtime recordings and will complete the request submitted to the clerk's office. We will contact you for more information after the request is sent to us.
Please see: Request a Digital Recording Copy to request a copy of Benton County Superior Court recording. You will either receive an FTR Recording or a JAVS recording (depending on the date, please see below). If any of your requests involve a court reporter, we will respond separately and advise you of such.
FTR REALTIME:

You will receive an email from For The Record from email: noreply@app.fortherecord.com for every recording on FTR (see above). The email will contain a secure link to access the recording, along with instructions on how to play it. The email will also include the following details:
Please note that the recording will only be accessible to the email address provided in your original request. Superior Court Administration will send you an email asking for every email address that will need access to the recording. The recording will be indefinitely. We will copy and paste any emails provided and any errors with the email, on the requestor’s end, will require a new request.
If after the request is completed you need to add access for a different email address, you will need to contact For The Record directly at support@fortherecord.com.
To ensure optimal functionality, please download the Justice Cloud Desktop App. This application allows for foot pedal control and individual speaker volume adjustments, making transcription more efficient.
JAVS RECORDINGS:
- 2021 to the dates listed above
If you recording is on JAVS, you will receive a OneDrive link from us containing the recording along with playback instructions. To ensure the best experience, please download and use Viewer 8 from JAVS. Detailed “Viewer 8 Instructions” will be included with your request.
Please note: the OneDrive link is only active for one week (7 days). You must download the JAVS recording. If you fail to download it in time, it will require a new request and new payment.
Superior Court Administration will contact you to get an email address, if it is not provided on the request.
FRANKLIN COUNTY DIGITAL RECORDINGS:
Superior Court Administration manages the FTR Realtime recordings. All requests will go through the Clerk’s office at: Request a Digital Recording Copy The Franklin County Clerk will process your requests.
