The Benton County Corrections Department provides incarceration and alternative program services to all law enforcement jurisdictions within Benton County (Kennewick, Richland, West Richland, Prosser and Benton City). In addition, the jail provides contract services to other agencies throughout the state. The jail is part of the Benton County Justice Center complex, located at 7122 W. Okanogan Place #B110, Kennewick, WA.
The new jail facility opened to inmates on April 1, 2003 with 561 beds. With the renovation of the old jail facility, the connected facilities now provide the capacity to house 720 inmates.

Command Staff
The Department Command Staff consists of Chief Robert Guerrero and Lieutenants Joshua Combs, Kasey Kist and Joshua Shelton.
The Corrections Department consists of three divisions:
- The Operations Division is responsible daily operations for all inmates in custody, this includes housing units, and food services. The Operations Division is jointly led by Lieutenants Shelton & Ammons.
- The Administrative Division consists of the Jail Records and Finance Departments and included Internal Affairs, Training and Personnel and is led by Lieutenant Combs.
- The Support Division is led by Lt. Kist who oversees inmate classification, Court and Transport Operations as well as Medical and Mental Health services.
