The Benton County Sheriff's Office is currently hiring!
The Benton County Sheriff's Office has 72 commissioned law enforcement positions. All deputies begin their career in the Patrol Division. The Patrol Lieutenant oversees the Patrol Division. The deputies comprise the four patrol squads. Each patrol squad consists of a sergeant, a corporal, and five deputies. Deputies work 12 hours shifts and rotate from days to nights every eight weeks with their squad. The Patrol Division is responsible for 24-hour coverage of all areas within Benton County jurisdiction.
Lateral Applicants MUST:
- 21 years of age or a lawful permanent residence
- Be a certified peace officer
- Must have successfully passed a certified law enforcement academy
- Must also have been employed as a full-time law enforcement officer for one year
- If not currently employed, the applicant must not have separated for performance or disciplinary reasons
