The District Court Division prosecutes misdemeanor criminal matters that occur in the unincorporated area of Benton County. Prosecution includes advise to law enforcement officers during investigations, pretrial hearings, trials, sentencing hearings and appeals. The District Court Division is responsible for screenings and prosecuting all criminal traffic and misdemeanor cases. It also handles appeals to the Superior Court cases from convictions in District Court.
