New Ballot Envelopes & New Look for Ballot Drop Boxes
Beginning with the Primary Election this year, the State of Washington has enacted a new law (RCW 29A.60.800) requiring all counties to use a uniform ballot envelope.

As a result of this statewide requirement, there will be significant changes to the appearance and layout of ballot envelopes used in elections going forward. While the ballot packet materials will look different from prior elections, the voting process and ballot content remain unchanged. These updates are intended to ensure statewide consistency and compliance with state requirements.

The Benton County Elections Division also took the opportunity to give our ballot drop boxes a new look ahead of the Primary Election. This will incorporate the County’s branding and colors to easily identify ballot drop boxes and will be updated before ballots go out in the mail on July 15th.
