Mission
To provide the operating policy procedures and financial means to support LEOFF I members.
Objectives
- Establishing the general operating procedure and writing the administrative policies and procedures of the Benton County LEOFF Disability Board.
- Making available to local LEOFF members and the general public, information relating to the uniform manner, methods, and standards for processing of claims covered under the LEOFF system and providing consistency and uniformity in dealing with individual members.
- Recognizing that conditions may exist or come into existence that are not properly encompassed by guidelines and reserving the right of the Disability Board to take whatever action is necessary to properly deal with such situations.
- Making all efforts possible to lower the cost of insurance premiums by utilizing Medicare and providing a lower premium supplement coverage for members over the age of 65.
