Technology in the Courtrooms Franklin County:
Courtrooms 1 & 3 are equipped with two 85-inch monitors that connect to laptops via Wi-Fi. Litigants can project documents, PowerPoints, videos and audio recordings wirelessly from their laptops. The system also has video conferencing capabilities.
In Courtroom 2, there’s an All-in-One Multi-Media Cart with a computer, DVD player and projector, and projection screen that can be used to share your computer screen to project documents, PowerPoints, videos and audio recordings wirelessly. Additionally, there is also a 50-inch monitor with DVD player, mounted on a movable stand. In Franklin County, IS staff must set up the multi-media cart.
The counsel tables in each courtroom are equipped with HDMI adapters. Please note – Apple-branded devices require a plug type USB C to HDMI adapter. Superior Court does not provide this adapter. You must bring one with you.
You are free to use all of the provided courtroom equipment, however, you must know how it works before you intend to use it. You are also free to use your own equipment, subject to regulation by the trial judge to avoid interference with the trial process. Do not assume that your video media will play in our systems. Try it out ahead of time. You may make an appointment with our Court Administration staff to try out what we have before trial.
We encourage you to know how your own equipment works. Electronic presentations can be highly persuasive when used effectively.

WebEx Equipment in the Courtrooms
