Appointment of Court Visitor for ADULT Guardianship proceeding:

Registry Instructions & Information

Above you will find the current Title 11 (Adult Guardianship) Court Visitor Registry.  The Title 11.130 Court Visitor Registry is provided for reference only; do not present on order appointing a Court Visitor on a guardianship case prior to contacting Court Administration.

Also, please note that Court Visitors must be listed on this registry in order to accept cases in Benton and Franklin Counties.

Per RCW 11.130 and Local Guardian Ad Litem Rule 5, Title 11 Court Visitor appointments from the Court Visitor registry are made on a rotational basis.

Title 11 Court Visitors are listed in alphabetical order and appointments are made in that order.  If you need a Title 11 Court Visitor, please contact the GAL/CV Registry Manager for the next Court Visitor on the list.

You are then responsible for contacting the CVs in the order provided, securing a CV and informing Court Administration of who accepted the case.

Minor Guardianship CV/GALs

If the Court determines your case requires appointment of a Court Visitor or Guardian ad Litem, please contact the GAL/CV Registry Manager for a list of the next 3 GAL names on the registry.

A Court Visitor is appointed by the Court.

Settlement GALs are not required to be GALs from our Registry or appointed by Court Administration in a certain rotation.  Any attorney with the requisite knowledge and experience can be appointed as a settlement GAL.
