Motions for Revision pursuant to RCW 2.24.050 and Local General Rule 11, or Reconsideration pursuant to CR 59 and Local General Rule 11

Required Submission Procedure

FILING THE MOTION

File the motion with the Superior Court Clerk then email the Motion for Revision or Motion for Reconsideration along with the proposed order to: Reconsideration-Revision@co.benton.wa.us

  1. Include the following recipients on the email:
    • all parties/attorneys included (unless otherwise provided by law)
    • if you include legal assistants, please note that they may not be on the reply email from Court Administration
  2. Email Content Must Include:
    • Include a proposed order in Microsoft WORD format, subject to your technology access
    • if you include legal assistants, please note that they may not be on the reply email from Court Administration 

FILING OPPOSING DOCUMENTS

File the motion with the Superior Court Clerk then email any opposing documents and proposed order to the same address:  Reconsideration-Revision@co.benton.wa.us

  1. Include the following recipients on the email:
    • all parties/attorneys included (unless otherwise provided by law)
    • if you include legal assistants, please note that they may not be on the reply email from Court Administration
  2. Email Content Must Include:
    • Include a proposed order in Microsoft WORD format, subject to your technology access
    • if you include legal assistants, please note that they may not be on the reply email from Court Administration 

Do Not Note for Hearing.

  • Do not schedule or note the motion for hearing.
  • The Judicial Officer will determine whether a hearing is necessary.
  • If a hearing is set, Judicial Assistants will contact the attorneys and/or parties directly.

Important Compliance Notice - Failure to follow the required submission procedures may result in the following:

  1. Automatic denial of the motion without review
  2. Delays that jeopardize compliance with court-imposed deadlines
  3. Motion may not be presented to the Judicial Officer

Note: Paper submissions are strictly prohibited unless prior approval has been obtained from the court.
