The information on this page pertains to appeals from the following courts of limited jurisdiction: Benton County District Court; Franklin County District Court; and Pasco Municipal Court.

Case Scheduling Orders 

  1. All appeals from courts of limited jurisdiction are subject to case scheduling orders.  All parties must comply with the case scheduling orders.  Attendance by parties is mandatory at status conferences and at oral argument.

  3. ORDER STATING:  All parties comply with the foregoing schedule, and that the appearance of Defendant at the Status Conference and the Oral Argument Hearing shall be mandatory.
  4. NOTICE TO PARTIES: Notice is hereby given that the above hearing dates have been set in the above captioned matter to be heard at the Benton County Justice Center, Franklin County Courthouse. No Further Notice will be given for the hearings. Any failure to comply with this Order or the Rules for Appeal of Decisions of Courts of Limited Jurisdiction or using said Rules for the purpose of delay shall result in one or more of the following sanctions: (1) An order directed to a party or attorney to pay monetary terms; (2) An order immediately lifting any order entered herein or in Benton County District Court staying the enforcement of the judgment entered below; (3) an order conditioning a party’s participation in the appeal upon compliance with the Rules for Appeal of Decisions of Courts of Limited Jurisdiction and further orders of this court; and (4) dismissal of the appeal.
  5. Record of Lower Court 
    • The appellant is responsible for obtaining a copy of the record of the lower court.
  6. Transcript of Proceeding
    • The appellant is also responsible for preparing a transcript of the proceedings in the lower court.
