The court will provide the name and phone number of your assigned defender in court. After assignment, you may also contact OPD for the same information. Public defender assignments are confidential and can only be given to the defendant. Be prepared to provide your name, date of birth, and case number to confirm your identity. Please note: it can take up to 72 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) after a court date for information about public defender assignment to be entered into the system.
