Wautoma Solar Project is proposed for northwest Benton County, generally located 12.5 miles northeast of Sunnyside and 1 mile south of State Route 241 and SR 24 interchange. The project area encompasses approximately 5,852 acres and the target of this project is a 470-megawatt solar generation facility coupled with a 4-hour, 470 MW batter storage system.
