2025 Completed Projects

TRAFFIC REVISIONS at Hinzerling Road and Johnson/O.I.E. Intersection

ALL-WAY STOP

On October 27th, 2025, Benton County Public Works will convert the two-way stop intersection located at Hinzerling Road and Johnson/O.I.E. to an All-way (4-way) stop condition.

A one-day project to install stop signs and advance warning stop ahead signs for north and south bound traffic on Hinzerling Road.  Crews will also be installing stop bars and “STOP AHEAD” legend transverse markings for increased emphasis on the new stop condition.

Newly installed signs will have additional traffic flags installed on a temporary basis for expanded awareness.

Road users can expect short delays and should consider alternate routes.

2024 Completed Projects 

Sonova Road Guardrail Project

Benton County will be replacing guardrail on Sonova Road and will have Alternating One Lane - 2 Way Traffic Control in place from Monday December 4th until Thursday December 5th.

Reconstruction and Bituminous Surface Treatment to Dowd Road

Benton County Public Works will be rebuilding a portion of Dowd Road from MP 2.04 to 3.05 to remove a large dip in the road, resurface with a crushed aggregate base course, and finish with a bituminous surface treatment. The estimated date for the first phase completion is November 12th.

Widening of Nine Canyon Road

Benton County Public works will be widening Nine Canyon Road from MP 11.29 to MP 12.76 by 1’ for each lane of travel.   The work is scheduled to begin September 16th, 2024, and will take approximately 2 weeks.
