The Veteran Service Officer assists Benton and Franklin County Veterans and their families with learning about, and applying for, resources available to them from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Washington State Department of Veteran Affairs, and local programs. Benefit eligibility is based on type of military discharge, reserve or active-duty service, and period of service. Services available through the Veteran Service Officer include:

- Requesting Service and Medical Records
The County Veteran Service Officer is located at Columbia Basin Veterans Center in Pasco, and is available Monday-Friday for appointments.
